HelHest

ČVUT FEL

Helhest is an off-road three-wheeled ground robot. It is primarily intended for autonomous deployment in locations where it is not easy to use aerial vehicles, such as security zones around airports and industrial complexes, or environments with dense vegetation. It can thus secure large areas with unpaved terrain and handle the logistics of heavy loads.

TempestLabs AI

ČVUT FIT

TempestLabs is a spin-off of CTU FIT developing hyperlocal weather forecasting for places where global models fall short. Its own models can forecast weather at a spatial resolution of metres and a temporal resolution of minutes. The technology finds use wherever precise local conditions decide the outcome — from energy through agriculture to wildfire detection. Today it is used by ČEPS to model the sag of power lines at 17,000 locations 20 metres above the ground. The team is also developing a tool for detecting wildfire hotspots at 100-metre resolution.

We don't wait for a technology ready for commercialisation to appear. We actively seek out opportunities and work individually with teams from the earliest idea stage.

Together we validate customer needs, build prototypes and test solutions in practice. We work in rapid cycles.

A spin-off is based on intellectual property created at CTU. A startup builds on intellectual property created outside the university. We'll build the business model and set the shares and registered capital. We'll resolve the legal relationship with the university and the notarial registration. Simply and without unnecessary delays.

Ready! programme

Get Ready!

For your startup/spin-off

The Ready! semester programme is designed for master's and doctoral students and researchers — not only from CTU — who want to validate the business potential of their idea or technology and learn everything needed to found their own spin-off or startup.

During half-day workshops every two weeks you'll gain practical business know-how, which you'll continuously apply to your own project with the support of an experienced mentor.

At the closing CTU Pitch Night you'll present your project to investors.

The Ready! programme runs in person in English.
